Farewell Westheimer, Hello Richmond
For two decades, The Phoenix on Westheimer has been Montrose’s home away from home—a gathering place for early morning matchdays, milestone celebrations, and neighborly camaraderie.
As our lease on Westheimer Road draws to a close, we are preparing for one final epic chapter here, culminating in the **World Cup 2026**. Following the final match of the tournament, we will shut the doors at our current location and focus all our energy on building our dream space.
Opening in late 2026, the new Phoenix will be situated on **Richmond Avenue**, nestled in the vibrant stretch between Mandell Street and Dunlavy Street.
What to expect at the new spot:
- 🌿 Expanded Outdoor Beer Garden: Houston weather-ready, lush, and spacious.
- 🍺 In-House Micro-Brewery: Upgraded custom brew house for our signature craft pours.
- ⚽ Advanced Match Viewing: Ultra-HD screens and optimized spatial audio for fan zones.
- 🚗 On-Site Parking: Dedicated, hassle-free parking for our patrons.

“There will never be another morning like the 2012 Champions League watch parties. Standing room only at 6:00 AM, pint of Stout in hand, singing with the Houston Celtic crew. The Westheimer location was a sanctuary for soccer fans. Looking forward to making new memories on Richmond!”

“The patio at Westheimer was my happy place. Met my husband there during a World Cup match in 2014. The staff always treated us like family, and the Tuesday trivia nights were legendary. It’s the end of an era, but we are absolutely ready for the next chapter on Richmond.”

“As a Man City fan, The Phoenix has been our official home. Witnessing the treble win in 2023 with a packed room of blues was unforgettable. The energy of this place is irreplaceable. We will carry the spirit to the new spot!”

“Der Klassiker watch parties here are legendary. The pretzel boards, the German drafts, and the friendly rivalry with the Dortmund fans. The Phoenix team has built something special. Can't wait for late 2026!”
